Phinehas

Israel joined unto Baal-peor in Shittim; Phinehas, jealous with the jealousy of Jehovah, and the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; and the numbering in the plains of Moab — six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty, the land divided by lot, and not a man left of the first numbering save Caleb and Joshua.
